§ 8.02. City clerk.

The city clerk shall be employed by the commission, shall act as the clerk of the commission and the city manager, and shall perform such duties as may be prescribed by the commission. The city clerk shall have custody of the public records of the city, shall be official custodian of the seal of the city, shall affix the said seal to all instruments requiring same and shall administer oaths. In the absence of the city clerk, the deputy city clerk shall have all such responsibilities and shall perform all such duties.
