§ 9-21. Emergency medical standby detail.
(a)
The fire chief or his designee may require the owner, agent or lessee to employ one (1) or more certified paramedics or certified emergency medical technicians, as required and approved by the fire chief or his designee, to be on duty at any building, premises, structure, place of assembly, or other place where people congregate whenever the fire chief or his designee determines it is necessary for the public safety due to the number of persons or to the nature of the event, performance, exhibition, display, contest, or activity to take place.
