§ 10-21. Unauthorized collection; penalties.

It shall be a violation of this section for any person, firm or corporation not authorized by the city, in writing, to collect or remove any newspaper, aluminum can or clear glass container which has been specifically placed for collection in the recycling program. Violations shall be subject to a fine not to exceed five hundred dollars ($500.00) or a term of imprisonment in the county jail not to exceed ninety (90) days, or both. Each individual unauthorized removal shall be considered a separate violation.
