§ 3.05. Compensation and expenses.

(a)

The commission may, through the passage of an ordinance, determine the annual salary of the commissioners at the time they adopt each fiscal budget. In no event shall any ordinance which increases the salary of commissioners become effective as to each commissioner until the commissioner has served at least one full year of the term in office for which that commissioner was elected. After commissioners have served one full year of the term for which they were elected, subsequent salary increases for commissioners may become effective with the enactment of subsequent fiscal budgets without regard to term in office or prior salary increase.

(b)

Upon the effective date of this Charter, the mayor shall be paid $1,500.00 per month, and all other commissioners shall be paid $1,200.00 per month. This shall be an exception to the requirements of Section 3.05(a).

(c)

Expense accounts shall be set by ordinance.
