§ 2-137. Competitive bidding required.

  • (a)

    All contracts for the purchase of supplies, materials, contractual services, capital equipment and for improvement and construction contracts of any type, available from more than one (1) source that cannot be performed by city personnel and involving dollar values in excess of sixty thousand dollars ($60,000.00) shall be entered into after competitive bidding and approved by the city commission unless otherwise exempted from competitive bidding and city commission approval by other provisions of this division.

    (b)

    Competitive bidding for contracts and contractual services in excess of sixty thousand dollars ($60,000.00) may be waived by resolution of the city commission.
