§ 2-108. Golf and turf division.
The golf and turf division of the city is hereby created, such division being within the department of parks and leisure services of the city; and this division shall have the following responsibilities:
(a)
Organizing and directing the city golf course and primary recreational turf facilities including organizing and execution of both the turf maintenance procedures and practices.
(b)
Directing the construction of golf greens, trees, fairways and all athletic fields.
(c)
Supervising and planning all planting and maintenance of golf and primary athletic turf.
(d)
Maintaining nutritional soil balances and fertilization of all golf and athletic turf.
(e)
Supervising the operation of a turf equipment repair shop, purchasing all supplies and materials within budgetary limitations and keeping accurate records of all turf and equipment maintenance activities.
(f)
Developing all golf course business activities.
(g)
Directing and managing the golf course pro shop and developing policies to encompass special events, tournaments and golf lessons, directing all golf merchandise and concessions, purchasing and sales; including preparing annual inventories and department reports.
