§ 2-2. Donations, contributions by city.

(a)

The city council may, through the passage of a resolution, make donations and/or contributions from the appropriate fund of the city when said donations and/or contributions would be for the general health, welfare and safety of any inhabitant or group of inhabitants of the city.

(b)

The resolution approving any donation and/or contribution pursuant to paragraph (a) above shall set forth therein the amount or a description of the property donated and/or contributed by the city. Said resolution shall also identify the inhabitant or group of inhabitants receiving the donation and/or contribution.
