§ 19-45. Certification; right to check; bonding of officials.
Each year, within thirty (30) days after the county tax assessor has certified to the city the total assessed valuation of all property situated within the corporate limits of the city, the city auditor and clerk shall certify to the Board of County Commissioners of Broward County, Florida, the millage or millages to be levied for all purposes for such year for the city.
After the assessment roll is delivered to the county tax collector for collection, the county tax assessor shall furnish to the city a summary or recapitulation for city taxes. The county tax collector shall make returns and remittances of money collected by him for the city in the manner and at the time provided by law. The city may, from time to time, make audits and checks of the tax assessment rolls in the tax collector's office, and the tax collector shall furnish bond as required by law.
