§ 14-97. Exhibition of permit identification card.
Each individual solicitor must prominently display a permit identification card issued by the city on their outer clothing in a manner which is clearly visible. This permit identification card shall contain a certified copy of the permit, the signature and seal of the issuing officer and shall show the name, address and photograph of the permittee, the class of permit, the date of issuance and the length of time the same shall be operative, as well as the permit number and other identifying description of any vehicle used in such peddling or soliciting. Permit identification cards shall be obtained from the city at a cost of twenty dollars ($20.00) per card. The city shall keep a permanent record of all permit identification cards issued. Solicitors and peddlers are required to produce their permit identification card for examination at the request of any citizen or officer. Failure to prominently display a permit identification card shall be deemed a violation of this section punishable under section 14-103.
