§ 14-77. Identification of interior motion by zones required.
All alarm systems installed after January 13, 1997:
(a)
In addition to door or window sensors, shall be capable of identifying interior motion by zones and notifying the monitoring station as to which zones are activated; and
(b)
Shall be capable of operating for at least one (1) hour without incoming power and shall be equipped so as to protect the alarm system in the event of a power surge.
If the alarm system is capable of notifying the monitoring station by zones, the monitoring system shall not notify the city if only one (1) zone is activated.
