§ 12-61. Definitions.

As used in this article, the following words and terms shall have the meanings hereinafter set forth:

General public shall mean any individual who is not regularly engaged in the buying or selling of precious metals as a licensed dealer.

Merchant shall mean any person who is the manager, proprietor or supervisor of any business establishment within the city wherein said business establishment makes purchases of precious metals from the general public.

Precious metals shall mean any metal composed of, in whole or in part, gold, silver or platinum.
