§ 12-62. Record of purchase—Required.

All merchants within the city shall be required from the effective date of this article to keep a written record of all purchases of precious metals from the general public. In the preparation of said record, and as a requirement of sale, the merchant shall obtain identification of the seller in order to properly ascertain his correct name and home address.
