Article V. AUTOMATED EXTERNAL DEFIBRILLATOR DEVICES |
§ 9-80. Penalties.
It shall constitute a violation of City Code to intentionally or willfully:
(a)
Render an automated external defibrillator device inoperative, except during such time as the automated external defibrillator device is being services, tested, repaired, or recharged;
(b)
Obliterate or tamper with the serial number on an automated external defibrillator device for purposes of falsifying records;
(c)
Improperly service, test, repair, or recharge an automated external defibrillator device;
(d)
Fail to have the automated external defibrillator device inspected prior to operation, and annually thereafter;
(e)
Use the permit of another person; or
(f)
Hold a permit and allow another person to use said permit number.
Failure to comply with any part of this article shall be punished by a fine not to exceed five hundred dollars ($500.00) or imprisonment for a term not exceeding sixty (60) days or by both fine and imprisonment. In addition, the city shall also have the right to revoke, refuse to issue, refuse to reissue, refuse to transfer, or refuse to renew any occupational license for any facility, business, entity or establishment where the violation occurred until such time as the violation is corrected.
