§ 9-33. Appointment of officers.

The city manager shall appoint the officers of the city fire department who shall serve under the direction of the chief. The officers, employees and volunteer members of the fire department or any volunteer organization affiliated therewith shall be under the direction and supervision of the chief of the fire department.
