§ 6-9. Building permits—Notices to affected residents and businesses required.

  • Whenever a building permit is applied for to conduct work within the public right-of-way, the applicant/franchisee/contractor must provide written notice prior to commencing such work to the residences and businesses in the affected area. Permit applications will contain the following requirements which must be met:

    (1)

    The applicant/franchisee/contractor must, at their own cost, prepare a written notice to be provided to the affected surrounding residences and/or businesses as a requirement to receive a permit.

    (2)

    The written notice must be provided to city staff for review and comment at least ten (10) days before a permit will issue.

    (3)

    City staff must approve the proposed notice in writing.

    (4)

    The applicant/franchisee/contractor shall, at their own cost, notify all residents and/or businesses in the affected area.

    (5)

    Written notice must be posted or delivered by the applicant/franchisee/contractor to the affected residents and/or businesses at least ten (10) days prior to the commencement of any work.
