§ 6-7. Same—Demolition.

No person shall demolish any structure in the city without first receiving a permit therefor from the building department. Such permits shall issue upon the payment of a fee of fifty dollars ($50.00) and pursuant to application showing the type and location of the structure to be demolished. If there is any prospect of danger to the general public or persons residing in the vicinity of the structure to be demolished, the chief building inspector shall report the issuance of the permit to the chief of police and the mayor. In such event the permit shall not be effective for forty-eight (48) hours after its issuance.
