§ 2-280. Composition.

(a)

Board members. This board shall consist of five (5) members, all of whom shall be residents of the city. Each of the five (5) city commissioners shall appoint one (1) member to the board. Membership shall be based on experience, interest and commitment to the enhancement of education of the children of Lauderhill.

(b)

Alternates. The board itself shall then select two (2) additional alternate members, for which the city commission shall require approval, and who shall be designated as first alternate and second alternate. An alternate member shall only have the power to sit and vote if a regular board member is not in attendance.
