§ 2-171. Expense accounts.
(a)
That each city commissioner shall have an administrative expense account in the amount approved by the city commission in the budget for each fiscal year.
(b)
That the use of those funds in the city commission's expense accounts, which may be referred to as "discretionary accounts," "administrative account," or "administrative expenses," will hereinafter be exclusively referred to as "administrative expenses," and must be used for legitimate expenses in connection with the elected official's public office, which shall include the cost to attend any event that is in their "official capacity," as referenced under The Broward County Code of Ethics for Elected Officials, Ordinance No. 2011-19.
