§ 2-145. Waiver of formal bidding/procurement procedure.
The purchasing officer may procure, without following the formal contract procedures in section 2-139, all supplies, materials and equipment which are the subject of contracts with the state as set forth in F.S. ch. 287, or are the subject of contracts with Florida counties, cities or other governmental entities, or with the United States Government. Competitive bidding shall not be required. All waiver of formal bidding/procurement procedure must be approved by the city commission.

The former § 2-145 pertained to waiver of formal contract procedure and derived from Ord. No. 88-135, § 2, adopted Oct. 24, 1988; Ord. No. 94-113, § 1, adopted April 25, 1994; and Ord.
