§ 21-47. Schedule of rates and charges.

  • (a)

    Connection fees/impact fees. Connection fees are synonymous with the term "impact fees" and shall be charged by the city in cases where service has never been provided, service is being re-established, and in cases in which a meter of increased size is requested by an owner. The city engineer during the land development review process shall identify connection fees for new development. The requirement for such connection fees so identified shall become a part of any development order issued during the land development review process. Connection fees shall be paid prior to the installation of any water meter.

    (d)

    Water system minimum charges/availability charges. A fixed charge per service (water) for each ebu connected to the system without regard to the amount of water usage, including zero (0) amount shall be as follows. Commencing December 1, 2007, and effective on the 1st of October of each year thereafter, all water and stormwater minimum charges/availability rates will be adjusted automatically in accordance with one hundred (100) percent of the U.S. Department of Labor Consumer Price Index as determined in June of the calendar year of adjustment.

    (e)

    Water volumetric rates. Commencing December 1, 2007, and effective on the 1st of October of each year thereafter, all water rates will be adjusted automatically in accordance with one hundred (100) percent of the U.S. Department of Labor Consumer Price Index as determined in June of the calendar year of adjustment, unless indicated otherwise.
