§ 20-22. Parking and landing helicopters.

  • (a)

    It shall be unlawful for any person to land, park or leave standing a helicopter on a non-designated area within the city, except in the case of emergency. For purposes of this section, a designated area for the landing, parking or leaving of a helicopter shall be a helipad or heliport which is approved by the city commission and the federal aviation administration. The term "landing," as used in this section, shall mean the descending or ascending of a helicopter.

    (b)

    Any person, firm or corporation found guilty of violating any provision of this section shall be subject to penalty as set forth in section 1-8 of the Code.
