§ 18-14. Sidewalks; replacement and repair criteria.

The city public works department shall determine if the existing sidewalk is in need of reconstruction or repair by the application of the following standards:

(a)

Vertical displacement at the joints of the block area does not exceed one inch or more;

(b)

Horizontal displacement at the joints of the block area does not exceed one-half (½) inch or more;

(c)

Scaling and/or peeling does not exceed twenty-five percent of the individual block area;

(d)

Extensive cracking with displacement or unstable sections does not exceed ten (10) percent of the block surface area.
