§ 18-2. Curbs; sprinkler systems and landscape requirements.
Any developer, builder or other person constructing any roadway or street with a median strip in the center of said roadway or strip shall provide adequate curbs, sprinkler systems and landscaping in the aforesaid median strip prior to dedicating the said right-of-way to the city.
In the event that the right-of-way has been accepted by the city prior to the construction upon said right-of-way of a street or roadway by any developer or builder within the city the roadway to contain a median strip, prior to the acceptance of the roadway or street within the dedicated right-of-way, the builder or developer shall construct curbs bordering the said median strip and provide sprinklers and appropriate landscaping upon the median strip.
The curbs, sprinkler systems and landscaping shall be constructed in accordance with the requirements of this Code and other ordinances of the city and the laws of the state, and construction shall be subject to approval by the building department of the city prior to acceptance by the city of the dedication of the road or street right-of-way and prior to the undertaking by the city of any obligation for the maintenance of the aforesaid street or roadway.
