§ 17-26. Vehicles and weapons.

Police vehicles or weapons, other than the sworn police officers' standard issue firearms and other weapons and equipment shall not be provided for special duty assignments, unless the officer in charge of that shift determines that vehicles or weapons may be utilized by the sworn officer or officers on special duty assignment.
