§ 14-121. Penalties, remedies.
(a)
Any sexual predators or sexual offenders found to be in violation of Florida Statutes 794.065 (transferred and renumbered as 775.215), 947.1405 or 948.30 are to be reported to the appropriate governmental agency, and the city manager is authorized to take all legal action necessary to enforce the terms of this article and the applicable Florida Statutes. The city manager is directed to update such lists and maps regularly as necessary. Each list and map prepared shall be made available to the city commission and the public for regular inspection.
(b)
A person who violates this article or the applicable Florida Statutes adopted herein, shall be punished by a fine not exceeding five hundred dollars ($500.00) or by imprisonment for a term not exceeding sixty (60) days, or by both such fine and imprisonment. For a second or subsequent conviction of a violation of this section or the corresponding Florida Statutes, such person shall be punished by a fine not to exceed one thousand dollars ($1,000.00) or by imprisonment for up to twelve (12) months, or by both such fine and imprisonment. In addition to these fines, the city shall be entitled to seek injunctive relief and such other relief permitted by law to preclude, prevent, terminate, cease or obviate any such violation of this article or the applicable Florida Statutes adopted herein.
