§ 14-16. State misdemeanors.
It shall be unlawful for any person to commit within the corporate limits of the city any act which is or shall be recognized by the laws of the state as a misdemeanor, and the commission of such act is hereby forbidden. The city may elect to offer a pre-trial diversion program to any qualifying adult offender of a non-violent misdemeanor committed within the limits of the city, unless specifically prohibited by state law or this code. The terms of the diversion program shall be established via resolution.
An "adult" for purposes of this section is defined to mean: an individual that is eighteen (18) years of age or older.
