Chapter 14. OFFENSES AND MISCELLANEOUS PROVISIONS |
Article I. IN GENERAL |
§ 14-1. Identification cards.
(a)
It shall be unlawful for any persons hereinafter named to fail to have obtained an identification card hereinafter described at or not later than five (5) days from the date of their employment in the following positions within the city:
(1)
With the exception of Broward County sheriff's office employees, all special police officers and auxiliary police affiliated with the police department of the city.
(2)
All regular full-time and part-time employees of the city.
(3)
All elected and appointed officials of the city.
(b)
Any person employing an employee subject to the terms of this section shall retire an identification card within the time set forth herein.
(c)
The identification cards required herein shall be applied for and issued by the personnel department of the city.
(d)
All persons who have received an identification card as required herein, shall surrender same to the city upon their termination or upon the happening of events that no longer require them to have an identification card as required herein.
