§ 12-105. Generally.

(a)

Section 489.127 of the Florida Statutes, as existing or as may be amended, is hereby adopted and incorporated by reference into the city Code of Ordinances.

(b)

It shall be unlawful for any person to engage in the business or act in the capacity of a contractor or advertise themselves as available to engage in the business or act in the capacity of a contractor without being duly registered or certified by the State of Florida.

(c)

Duly authorized building code inspectors of the city shall be responsible for the enforcement of this section

(d)

Any person found to be in violation of this section or Florida Statutes Section 489.127 shall be subject to the penalties as set forth in Florida Statutes Section 489.127(3)(e), as existing or as may be amended.
