§ 12-57. Business development fee.

  • Each local business tax receipt, except as noted below, shall include a twenty-five dollar ($25.00) business development fee, which shall be billed and collected with the local business tax. These fees shall be reserved by the city for economic development purposes including, but not limited to, grants and loans to city businesses; establishment and funding of a chamber of commerce or similar organization; special events related to business development; and advertising and publicity for city businesses. Individual practitioners who are a part of a business which holds a separate certificate of use and local business tax receipt shall not be required to pay the business development fee.
