§ 11-51. Establishment of transportation fees.

  • Van transportation provided for residents by the health and social service department shall be according to the following fee schedule:

    (1)

    Daily transportation fee:

    a.

    One-way ..... $0.75

    b.

    Round trip ..... 1.00

    (2)

    Special transportation fee, including but not limited to special cultural trips, travel trips, mall trips, etc., round trip ..... 3.00

    (3)

    The mayor or his/her designee may waive the above transportation fee at their discretion on the grounds of financial hardship.

    (4)

    Residents of the city may purchase transportation passes which provide for twelve (12) one-way rides at a cost of five dollars ($5.00) per pass.

    (5)

    Organizations located in the city may rent city forty-eight (48) passenger buses for a fee of thirty-five dollars ($35.00) per hour and may rent fourteen (14) passenger vans for a fee of twenty-two dollars ($22.00) per hour. Prior to renting these vehicles, the city may require proof of insurance showing the city as loss payee, and may impose other requirements to be determined by the health and social services director.
