§ 11-36. Tagging of food products.

  • Whenever the inspector finds, or has probable cause to believe, that any food or food product is adulterated or misbranded within the meaning of this article, he may affix to such food or food product a tag or other appropriate marking, giving notice that such food or food product is, or is suspected of being, adulterated or misbranded and has been quarantined, and warning all persons not to remove or dispose of such food or food product by sale or otherwise until permission for removal or disposal is given by the inspector or his duly authorized representative. It shall be a violation of this article for any person to remove or dispose of such quarantined food or food product by sale or otherwise without such permission.
